Writing Quality Articles

Below are 10 tips that will assist you in writing quality articles for Internet readers.
1. What's In a Name? In other words, start with a good title. Make it thought provoking and interesting, as to gain and keep their attention. This will require some consideration, but with a little effort they'll likely remember you for a long time.
2. Remember how to KISS! You've got it. Keep it simple, Sugar! Make sure you get to the point fast, preferably in the very first line. Don't bore the reader by wasting time, because on the Internet there are too many other articles available to them. Keep it simple and they'll come back for more.
3. 3peat. Use Primary Key Word Phrases, regularly. This should include the title of the article and approximately 2-3 additional times in the remainder of the article. It should reflect once in the first paragraph, once (maybe twice) in the body, and once again in the conclusion. Note: Keep each article to a minimum of 500 words and format paragraphs with no indentations. (Also, add a double line space between each new paragraph.)
4. Get Excited! It won't hurt to use an occasional exclamation mark (!) here and there. Just don't go overboard!
5. Make it Count. Bullets and Numbered list are good to use in some articles to show a chain of action and/or allow the reader to quickly read through the content. Use them to your advantage to help outline important points.
6. Engage & Reward. Readers want to glean something from the articles they read, so be sure to lay out the advantages (or disadvantages) that may be in store for them. Try to hold their attention by asking questions that will cause them to think and continue to read for additional answers and/or info.
7. The Power of One. Stay focused on a single topic, per article. Trying to add too much information will make the article less appealing and the reader more confused.
8. Finish Well! A "Call to Action" is what motivates us to do something. Have a strong enough finish so that your article gets the reader to take further action.
9. Be Firm, Yet Gentle. While most people will appreciate your willingness to share, many more will greatly respect your transparency. Be modest and unassuming, while showing compassion and interest in the way the article is written.
10. Learn New Things. Writing articles for the Internet is quite unlike writing for offline projects. If you seriously want to learn to write for an Internet audience, then you should study other articles so you can learn the differences in quality and styles of writing. You may also find which types are more easily read and may be surprised to find which ones are most easily written.
